* This is by no means an all inclusive list. There are plenty of other conditions that would qualify you or your loved one for a Residential Care Home. However there are some exceptions: 1) those who are completely bed bound, 2) those who need a Registered Nurse available 24 hours a day 3) those needing suction procedures or feeding tubes or 4) typically those with a serious infectious communicable disease. Infectious communicable diseased prospects would have to fit the specific requirements of the facility. If your loved one meets any exceptions from 1 to 3, they cannot be admitted to any Assisted Living or Residential Care Home. In this case a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) would be an available option.
